Audain Artist Dinner Series

Manabu Ikeda + Chef Koji Chiba

A Summer Taste & Tour of Japanese Art

Thank you for an incredible season!

This summer, there will be four fine-dining experiences, making it one of the most highly sought-after experiences of the season. This event is inspired by Japan’s summer festivals and the artwork featured in the AAM’s Special Exhibition, Manabu Ikeda: Flowers from the Wreckage. This all-inclusive dinner includes a signature cocktail reception, a six-course omakase style Japanese menu with wine and sake pairings prepared by Chef Koji Chiba, plus an exclusive tour of the Special Exhibition with the Artist, Manabu Ikeda.

Omakase is a form of Japanese dining where guests leave themselves in the hands of the chef; trusting their artistic ability to create a meal that is elegant, fresh and unlike anything they have tried before.

As an added feature, attendees have the option to select which table they are seated at when purchasing tickets; allowing them the opportunity to dine with the Artist, Manabu Ikeda, the Museum’s Director and Chief Curator, Dr. Curtis Collins, and the AAM’s Gail & Stephen A. Jarislowsky Curator, Kiriko Watanabe.
