Volunteers Make the Audain Experience Possible

Volunteers play an essential role in shaping the visitor experience at the Audain Art Museum. Their enthusiasm, knowledge, and dedication support our educational programs, special events and guided tours throughout the year. If you’re passionate about art and interested in contributing your skills as a Docent, event assistant, or in the Museum Shop, we would love to hear from you.

Docent Training & Support

Offered seasonally and free of charge to a select group of volunteers, our Docent training program provides an intensive introduction to the Museum’s Permanent Collection, Special Exhibitions, and effective visitor engagement techniques.

Through comprehensive training, participants will build confidence, deepen their knowledge of art and exhibition themes, and develop the skills to facilitate meaningful conversations and experiences. Upon completion, Docents become ambassadors for the AAM, helping to inspire curiosity, foster dialogue, and shape the Museum experience for thousands of visitors each year.
