Spring / Summer 2025
After School Art
After School Art offers students discourse and activities, which will deepen their knowledge and understanding of the history and methods of art-making in British Columbia.
This program is made possible through the generosity of Allen Bell and Ola Dunin-Bell.
Through these sessions, students will gain:
- An understanding of different ideas, materials & techniques used in carving, painting, and photography.
- An appreciation for the continuity and change of artistic styles over time.
- An appreciation for the socio-historical and cultural contexts
of artworks. - An awareness of the diverse art forms in British Columbia.
- An awareness of cultural and artistic exchange in British Columbia.

Throughout April, May and June, sessions will run from 3:00pm to 4:30pm.
The Spring Sessions includes six classes per age group. Register for a three-class pack or purchase a drop in class.
K-2 Dates: April 3, April 19, May 1, May 17, June 5, June 28
3-6 Dates: April 5, April 17, May 3, May 15, June 7, June 12

Stop Motion Animation Workshops
Join us this Summer at the Audain Art Museum for a series of hands-on Stop Motion Animation Workshops designed for participants aged 8+.
Each session explores a different animation technique, allowing participants to experiment with storytelling and bring their ideas to life. Inspired by the incredible artworks displayed at the museum, participants will create their own animation using various methods.

Drop-In Children’s Art Class
Spark your child’s creativity in a fun and inspiring setting at the Audain Art Museum’s Kids’ Art-making Workshop!
Designed for children ages 6–12, this engaging hands-on session introduces young artists to the fundamentals of drawing through guided activities, playful exercises, and inspiration from the Museum’s Special Exhibition, Gathered Leaves: Discoveries from the Drawings Vault.
All materials are provided, and no prior experience is needed—just a sense of curiosity and a love for art!

Art Therapy Class for Teens
This art therapy class offers a safe, supportive space for teens to explore their thoughts and emotions through creative expression. Guided by a trained art therapist, the class encourages self-awareness, emotional growth, and personal insight using a variety of art materials and techniques—no prior art experience is necessary.
Whether coping with anxiety, stress, self-esteem issues, or simply seeking a creative outlet, this class empowers teens to use art as a tool for healing, growth, and self-discovery.
Angela Walsh Noble – Art Therapist In-Training
Angela Walsh Noble is an artist, art educator, and student art therapist based in Pemberton, BC. Angela is currently working to complete an Advanced Post-Graduate Diploma in Art Therapy from the Vancouver Art Therapy Institute. Angela strongly believes in the power of art to promote healing and expression, and she does so through a person-centered, culturally sensitive approach. Art therapy provides individuals with the opportunity to explore life-stories, personal problems and potentials through the use of simple art materials. No art skill is required. Angela’s deep commitment to mental health and well-being begins by providing a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment in which to gain confidence to face life’s challenges, to creatively explore, and to heal.
Angela maintains an active artistic practice in her home studio primarily in the forms of painting, drawing and printmaking. Angela holds both a BFAH and a B.Ed. from Queen’s University, and an M.Ed. in Art Education from UBC. With more than 20 years of experience, Angela is a veteran community art educator who maintains an enthusiastic and passionate approach to teaching studio art to a wide range of age groups – from the young in age to the young at heart – in a variety of professional settings including schools, public arts organizations, galleries and museums.

Introduction to Carpentry & Public Space Design Workshop
This immersive, hands-on workshop introduces students to the fundamentals of carpentry and public space design.
The workshop will end with a public exhibition showcasing the projects created over two days. Participants will share in the joy and transformation that comes from building a dream world—together.

Textile & Design Workshop
This two-day workshop will introduce youth to the fundamentals of sewing and surface design.
The students will be provided with all materials and tools required to experiment with natural dyeing (with plants!) and surface design techniques. Not only will the participants learn to apply design techniques directly to fabric, but they will also learn how to design and sew a self-reflective banner.
