Private Guided Tours
Book your group into a private guided tour of the Audain Art Museum. Join the Museum’s knowledgeable staff or Docents for an intimate look at the latest changes to the Permanent Collection of BC art from a unique, curatorial perspective. Or, choose to experience the newest Special Exhibitions.
Docent Tour
Tour price is $150 + GST for each group up to 15 people, plus the cost of admission. Outside of regular operating hours, tour price is $250 + GST, plus the cost of admission.
Experience the Audain Art Museum through the perspective of our knowledgeable Docents. These engaging guided tours offer deeper insight into the art, exhibitions, and architecture of the Museum; bringing stories, context, and creative processes to life.
Choose from three tour experiences:
- Permanent Collection Tours: Discover highlights from the Museum’s renowned collection of carving, painting, and photography.
- Special Exhibition Tours: Dive deeper into current exhibitions with insights into the artists, themes, and curatorial vision.
- Architectural Tours: Explore the design of the Museum itself, created by Patkau Architects, and learn how its striking structure responds to the surrounding landscape.
Curatorial Tour
Tour price is $350 + GST per group, plus the cost of admission.

Enjoy a unique curatorial perspective with a member of our staff and explore the rich history of various art traditions represented in the Special Exhibitions as well as in our Permanent Collection. This ever-evolving tour is uniquely tailored to every exhibition, and examines the themes and motivations behind the work on display, as well as the selected artists being showcased.
Executive Director or Chief Curator’s Tour
Tour price is $500 + GST per group, plus the cost of admission.

Join the Audain Art Museum’s Executive Director, Dr. Curtis Collins, of the Gail & Stephen Jarislowski Chief Curator, Kiriko Watanabe, for an in-depth discussion of the Special Exhibitions providing first-hand information and interesting insights into how a show is conceived and executed. Or take a walk through the Permanent Collection with a behind-the-scenes tour featuring historic narrative and special access exclusively available through Dr. Curtis Collins and Kiriko Watanabe.
