Art of the Cocktail
The Art of the Cocktail series at the Audain Art Museum offers a unique opportunity to experience the fusion of visual artistry and cocktail craftsmanship. Immerse yourself in the art of mixology at the May 16th event!

Museum admission is included for the day of the event. Participants must be 19 or older.
Stop Motion Animation Workshop Series
Join the Museum this March Break for a series of hands-on Stop Motion Animation Workshops designed for participants ages 8 and up. Each session explores a different animation technique, allowing participants to experiment with storytelling and bring their ideas to life. Inspired by the incredible artworks displayed at the Museum, participants will create their own animation using various methods.
Day 1: Dive into cut-out animation, moving paper characters frame by frame to craft unique animated scenes.
Day 2: Introduction to pixilation and object animation, where students will animate people and everyday objects in fun and unexpected ways.
Day 3: Sculpt and animate clay characters, learning the basics of character movement and expression.
Participants will work in small teams of up to three people and must bring a tablet or smartphone for animation (one per team). No prior experience is needed.
About the Instructor:
Cléa Thomas is an artist and animator originally from France, with a background in Film and Film Animation. She studied at Concordia University, the New Zealand Film Academy, and Sydney Film School, before completing her Master’s degree in Geology. Cléa offers engaging stop-motion animation workshops for kids, where they can explore creativity, storytelling, and animation in a hands-on environment. She is based in Pemberton, British Columbia, where she lives with her partner and three children.

Artist Talk with Edward Burtynsky
Capture Photography Festival presents its fifth Speaker Series talk with artist Edward Burtynsky, in conversation with the AAM’s Director & Chief Curator Curtis Collins and Capture Photography Festival Executive Director & Chief Curator Emmy Lee Wall. Join us at ECUAD for a discussion of Burtynsky’s recent works as part of the The Coast Mountains: Recent Works by Edward Burtynsky exhibition which will be displayed at the Audain Art Museum from April 27 to September 15, 2025.
After School Art

After School Art offers students discourse and activities which will deepen their knowledge and understanding of the history and methods of art-making in British Columbia. Learn more here.
Yoga at the Audain Art Museum
Revel in the stunning architecture of the Audain Art Museum as you work through a calming one-hour practice with rotating instructors. The classes will emphasize breathing, alignment and ease as you stretch and strengthen your body and mind. Registration includes access to the Museum galleries on the day of the yoga session from 11am to 6pm. Bring your mat (or borrow one from the AAM) and enjoy some mind and body wellness!
