Description

The Youth Art Collective is a weekly art program designed for students in Grades 7–9 who are eager to deepen their creative skills and explore the world of visual art through a museum lens.

Each session invites participants into the galleries for close-looking activities, followed by guided studio time inspired by works from the Audain Art Museum’s Permanent Collection and Special Exhibitions.

Led by an experienced art instructor, the program introduces youth to a range of artistic techniques, materials, and approaches – from drawing and painting to contemporary mixed-media practice. Participants gain confidence in their individual artistic voice while learning about the stories, histories, and creative processes behind the artworks on display.

The Youth Art Collective fosters curiosity, experimentation, and creative community, offering teens a supportive environment to make art, develop new skills, and connect with the cultural vibrancy of the Audain Art Museum.

No experience required.

This program is made possible through the generosity of the Touchet Family.
